Review: I purchased this home for my daughter for Christmas in 2003. She still loves it 2 years later! That edition of the Berry Happy Home came with much better furniture than the new one. The furniture is no longer available, which really disappointed my daughter, who wanted a couch for the girls. We improvised with furniture from other toys. For those of you in search of the dolls: I have read online that Bandai will no longer be making the Strawberry Shortcake toys! This probably accounts for the doll shortage! Another company is supposed to take over marketing, hopefully meaning they will be putting the dolls back in the stores! The new Strawberry DVD that is due out in February will surely bring on more characters and hopefully more toys! All in all, my daughter loves this house, and has never gotten tired of it!

Review: My daughter received the Strawberry Shortcake Scented Home for Christmas 2004 from her grandmother. Only 3 and a half at the time, she did not know it was lacking anything and was delighted to get the SS Home since it was at the top of her xmas list!
We have had problems with the window boxes, as well as the strawberry with stem that goes next to house. The clock still ticks and the doorbell still chimes. I was however disappointed that we could not purchase any of the furniture shown on the box that did not come with the home.
We purchase several of the small SS dolls last year, my daughter is a HUGE fan and must have bought at least one or two a month! She uses these to play with in the house. I did not realize that the dolls were so hard to find right now! We bought her dolls at Walmart.
Since the doll house is so small (lacking beds, etc.) my daughter improvises using furniture from her Loving Family Townhome doll house. We just "extend" pretend rooms on my daughter's floor in her room. With lots of creativity, we have had a lot of fun with her SS home.
Overall, she enjoys it but they could have made it larger and included the furniture shown on the box. Or at least have made the furniture available for purchase.

Review: This toy could be great...if any of the advertised accessories were sold. In order to get a doll for the Home, you must bid ridiculously high on E Bay. There are accessories listed as being sold on the back of the box. This is FALSE. These accessories are no longer sold anywhere, including E Bay. Banai, the manufacturer of this piece, does not answer their phone, nor do they answer their e-mails. Yes, you may be getting a good deal on this, but it is still a high price for a piece of useless plastic junk.

Review: I'm completely disappointed in this doll house. For one, no doll to play with inside the house. Two-where do you get the rest of the house? I've searched high and low from store to store and all over the internet. It seems like if you want to purchase anything with Strawberry shortcake you have to spend an arm and a leg on it from E-bay.
