Summary: A Thrill a Minute
Date: 2005-11-28
Rating: 5
Review: I bought this toy for my granddaughters ages 2-5. They all love it and can't wait to play with it. Not only is the track itself fun, but you can also run the cars on the straight track in the center of the main half-pipe track, crash through the gate and run the car across the room. The toy is well made, durable and the fact that it folds in on itself for storage and has a built-in carrying handle is ingenious. The cars are sturdy, fast and the motors seem to be long lasting. The best thing...NO BATTERIES. A great toy. Well deserved 2004 Toy of the Year.

Summary: Speed Stars, some good, some not so......

Review: Speed Stars are great, all of the other tracks allow the kids to wind and just watch the cars go! This particluar one requires a little manuevering to get the cars just right to get them to race. You cant just set them on the track and watch them go. Though I recommend Speed Stars, I wouldn't recommend this particular track for younger children.

Review: I really like the speedway. My grandchildren (four and up) find it easy to use. There are no batteries! Hurray!

Summary: GREAT TOY WITH NO BATTERIES

Review: I bought this for my 4 year old and he just absolutely LOOOVES it. His 8 year old sister also plays with it. Finally a toy that is fun over and over and over again with no batteries! I also like that there are three steps to make the cars go: wind them, push a button, and then release the lever. Really teaches following directions/steps/stratagies/etc. I haven't used the other speedstars toys, but I'm sure they are equally entertaining. I even catch myself playing with this one.

Summary: Not nearly as good as the Maximum Thrills Raceway
Date: 2005-05-09
Rating: 3
Review: This toy is more expensive, more complicated and more difficult to operate than the Speedstars Maximum Thrills Raceway toy which is priced at less than half of what this toy costs. The police car rarely makes it around the track more than once before crashing which then makes the race car crash. Also, you have to set the cars in their starting positions, push the buttons on the top of the cars and then release the lever - way too many steps for a preschooler who only wants to see the cars go. Save your money and get the Maximum Thrills Raceway!
