Summary: An awsome yet uniquely challenging model...

Review: I like this model. Perfect grade kits are enjoyed for the detail they provide. They are also known for the frustration of the build process. This is not a child's toy. It requires time and energy to build. The pieces snap together with out glue, but this requires the skill to not only get them out of the plastic holders, but also fitting together in the right places. The interior of the model is a plastic skeleton. The bulk of the building process is taken here. It can be difficult and at times overwhelmingly boring. Younger children can get either bored, or worse, frustrated, which may end in a break in one of the pieces. Screws are used throughout the model to fasten joints and other important pieces. This requires a feel of modeling, as it is a shame to over tighten or not tighten a screw enough. Following directions is key. Any mistake in building is rewarded with you taking the parts of the part being built apart, identifying the problem, kicking yourself for making the mistake, and correcting the error. This takes time, and can be massively frustrating. The armor moves in and out of place on certain parts of the model. This is a wonderful feature, if you can get the armor to fit in the correct way. This process can be tough and again frustrating to the younger modeler. If you do not get discouraged and finish the model, you are left with a colorful and very nice looking model moble suit. The suit does move, but has a tendancy to fall apart. Be Careful, there is nothing worse than to drop your finished model to have it shatter its pieces all over the place. I am glad to have this piece as part of my collection. It took work, 3 days of building, thumbs of steel, and some resolve to complete. However, I can honestly say that I enjoy seeing it every day on my dresser. I got this model for about $75. As perfect grades go, this is an incredible price for one in America. It is worth every penny. A fine project for the experienced modeler, parent-child weekend project, or one who is bored.
*For the younger and the less experienced, check out the master grade series. These models are very detailed, but much easier to build.
(this is my first review, I hope it helps you in your shopping)

Summary: Great model kit for kids (over 9 years old) and adults.

Review: To really appreciate this model kit, I recommend that you first watch the Gundam 0079 movies...where this model kit and its pilot are the star of the show.
This specific model kit took me a total of 18 hours to complete...once completed, you cannot play with this model kit like an GI Joe action figure. The best part of it is that you can make this model kit as detailed as you can...and all the parts precisely fit each other with no gluing involved.
The RX-78-2 is perfect for you sci-fi buffs and model kit builders. Have a friend, son or daughter create part of the kit while you work on another part. The price can be a little lower though, $90 would be good.

Review: Excellent 1/60 model. Way better than the MG 100 RX78-2 on amazon right now. Fully detailed core fighter that actually looks good. One of my all time favorite PG kit. Just a tad too expensive at $120... $50-$60 would do the trick.
