Review: We call our 2 year old grand daughter Tater Tot so this was purchased as a gift for her grandfather. He soon discovered he would not keep it. Tater Tot enjoyed this immensely!! She plays with it for hours and has made it the grandpop of her Tater family.
As a toy it does what a Potato Head should. As a collectible, this is a must for those that fondly remember having one as a child.
I hope this helps.

Summary: Darth only, no storm trooper

Review: I was under the mistaken impression that this toy also came with the storm trooper pieces that are seen in one of the customer photos. I'm still happy with the purchase, but just want to warn others that might make the same mistake. The storm trooper must be another box. :-)

Review: My friends are Star Wars geeks and their little ones follow along. Their 3 year old even hums Darth Vader's theme song. I bought this for his birthday recently. I guess I must be easily amused because just the names got me giggling - Darth Tater and Spud Trooper. I bought Darth at Target and Spud at Giant grocery stores. Darth has a light sabre and Spud has a potato masher. The quality is okay. No different than past Potato Heads. This little boy got a lot of typical boy toys - Buzz LightYear, race car sets, die-cast cars and planes, etc. I figured if nothing else, his parents would get a kick out of them. Well, he played with these taters for hours. Even his 4 year brother along with my 4 year old boy got into it. This toy worked out surprisingly well for us! Highly recommend!

Review: I was really shocked to read reviews and see that we were the only ones who had a problem with this toy. The peices don't stay in at all!! Mainly the door on the 'behind' compartment, it falls into the body cavity constantly, and once you get it in place, any movement, and it falls again. The peices don't fit right in the holes, and it's not interchangable with regular potato head peices!! They are either too loose or too tight for the body. Very disapointing. And for the person who reviewed this toy to be a bad example for kids, get a grip! It's a toy. You don't like it, don't buy it. I don't think my kids are going to try to take over the galaxy because Mr. Potato Head weilds a red lightsaber.

Summary: Morality Check

Review: I find it very disturbing to see a toy made satirizing an intergalactic mass murderer and war criminal who held the entire galaxy under the boot of the evil Empire. Prior to his redemption as Anakin Skywalker, Vader indiscriminately committed torture, oversaw the destruction of an entire planet and murdered officers under his command. What kind of message are we sending to children by making a toy celebrating this man's misdeeds? What's next - Adolf Eichmann, Pol Pot and Joseph Stalin Potato Heads?
