Summary: Master Grade RX-79G 8th MS Team Gundam

Review: I am somewhat new to this so bear with me.

This model kit is an excellent example of Bandai engineering.

It has numerous parts, each one meticulously detailed and molded in its final color. No paint is necessary for the completion of this model, although I recommend painting the eyes. It gives a better feel for the original anime mobile suit.
The detail of the inner skeletal mechanism of the arms and legs is fantastic. It even includes screws for stabilization of the joints. This kit features unique removable armor pieces, meaning the pieces are designed to fit over the skeletal structure, eliminating the hard to hide seams common with the lower grade model kits.
This kit features seperate pieces for customization if one desires to do so. The model includes a set of colored stickers for the eyes, and a set of rub on decals for the shoulder and shield. This includes the leader stripe for Shiro Amada's suit, along with the numbers for each team seen in the original anime Mobile Suit Gundam:8th MS Team. Also included are decals for the individual pilots of the 8th MS Team, for further customization.
CAUTION: The rub on stickers are very delicate. Be very careful when removing them from the protective backing. The set I had stuck to it so I had to improvise.

This set does come with a variety of accesories seen in the anime as well, including various weapons.

This kit is meant for advanced modelers. I would recommend that unskilled modelers try the basic and High grade kits first before jumping in at this one.
Overall it is an awesome kit with excellent detail and a great bargain.

Review: This kit is an excellent buy for any gundam fans. It looks great when it is done, and it comes with many different weapons. The only problems I have encountered is that it is difficult to get the gundam in its kneeling position and hold the 180mm cannon, and that some of my rub-on decals we stuck on the paper behind them and couldn't be put on the model. Although mine is missing a few small decals, it still looks great standing with my other models.

Review: The Master Grade RX-79 Gundam is one of the best master grade models out there. Its fully poseable and comes with a great deal of weaponry. While paint is not required true gundam fans will find that paint makes the entire model look more authentic. And if you are crazy enough you can do battle damage to the model via a soldering iron (beam saber slashes with ash rubbed in to give it a burnt metal look). It is a great model but you must have nimble fingers to put all the small pieces together.

Summary: Humble model, great entertainment.

Review: From 08th MS team Gundam series, this kit is made to look a bit humble but hides some good fun. In the animated series, this particular model is made from spare parts from the original Gundam project, which is why it looks the way it does. Don't let it fool you as it's a great Master Grade build, despite being over 5 years since it's debut. It's not made to have the flash or weaponry of the super gundams of late, such as the Wing Zero or Strike Freedom. It's made with the mindset of a kind of massed produced Gundam infantry. This is a model, not a toy, so one should be careful after completion as parts can wear out faster than most toys. The model itself is quite nice. Its basic design looks well thought out and is executed very nicely. It requires some screws, but if you're careful you can pull off a great model without painting or extreme detailing. It has great poseability and hides a very nicely done frame underneath the armor. Though it's a Master Grade, for the price, it beats a lot of High Grade models currently out now. The extra weapons backpack is a plus and sweetens the bargain a great deal. The sheer amount of pieces may seem daunting at first, but with a bit of patience it can be done (though it does take some time). As with a lot of Gundam models, it doesn't hold weapons very well, but I overlooked that considering the price. It takes hours to put together but I highly recommend it, even if it's your first Master Grade model.
