Summary: I was a nice thought

Review: The thought of this toy is great my daughter, 1 year old, and I could interact with the book and have fun. Well all she want to do is press the on and off button. Also it is very awkward to use. If you touch the wrong part of the page the computer will think that you are using a different book, and my daughter is constantly touching the wrong spots on the page. It needs to be more user friendly.
For us it was a waste we never use it.

Review: This is a great item, but the age range is way off. This is in no way entertaining to a six-month old. I got this for my daughter for Christmas last year and JUST this week (at 17 months) did she show any interest in actually touching the pages and exploring the sounds.
Up to this point, it has been her favorite seat in the house! Literally. She would always rip the book out and use it as a chair . . . have to say she would recommend it for a chair . . . but I'm sure you could find a cheaper one! ;)
On the plus side, if you are going to let a six-month old have it, the pages are as durable as they say they are! I know ours have withstood a year of slobber and 'tearing' . . . and show no signs of tearing! (a lot wrinkled . . . but no tears)
This was one of those items that I was deadset on getting my daughter, and I was so excited to sit with her and this toy . . . never happened. It looks like we may finally be getting to that point, but I could have saved my money for at least a year . . .

Review: The concept of this product is great. However, it is too hard for a smaller child to use. Ex: you have to press the green "go" button everytime you turn a page...my two year old doesn't do that and it completely messes up the purpose of the game. He will be on a page of "blue" pictures but since he didn't press "go", the page is telling him that the pictures are "red" because it is still on the page from before. If I use it with him it works great, but he cannot play with it by himself. We purchased this as a toy for the car because we travel frequently, but it is of no use to us in the car. If LeapFrog could improve on the "green go" button, it would be much better.

Review: This toy is nicely made and very educational. My husband and I like this toy much better than my daughter does. We got her the little touch leapad when she was 8 month old and we read it with her. But she only likes to push and on/off button to hear "good-bye". Now my duaghter is 22 month old and LOOOOVES to read, she can sit quietly and listen to me reading 10 books straight and she can also "read" books by herselfs. But she's still not too interested in the little touch leapad. She likes to detach the little book and "play" with them separetely. I guess some people just like the old-fashion books better than the electronic toy.

Review: My daughter now almost 17 mos has had this since last Christmas, then almost 6 mos. I was a teacher (preschool and 1st grade)and we were very excited to get it. Well...all she wants to do is turn the pages back and forth...not gently either. The pages are very flimsy and would not last long if we used it often. I don't like to tell her "no" when reading, so we just don't get it out much. If they could figure out how to make a board book for this it would be awesome. I think we'll use it around 2 or so when she can understand more about taking care of things. Even before she turned 1, she grabbed the pages all the time. Some are even ripped now...and they're not cheap! Great buy for the older toddlers.
