Summary: A disappointment, and expensive to boot

Review: This product is a real disappointment, especially given all the positive reviews here. It really doesn't do much. It plays about 5 songs, I think (Baa baa black sheep, Hickory Dickory Dock, Where has my little dog gone, and one or two others). It has 6 shapes on the front, and baby is supposed to press the one that lights up. But they only stay lit for a couple of seconds - not really long enough for a young child to respond. After that, it'll say "Let's snuggle" and giggle before shutting itself off. The voice is very irritating, too. My son loves music, but he pretty much ignores this toy. I would recommend saving your money.

Review: this is the only way my child will go to sleep in her crib. every night from 2 months old to now 14 months old, i turn the night time music on for 6 minutes and she goes fast to sleep. batteries last a while, and youll know when they need changing, and so will baby. she loves pushing his buttons. would recommend to everyone.

Review: I never personally purchased this item, but my mother bought this for my nephew when he was born. He loved it, and now my daughter has inherited Baby Tad. He's now 4 1/2, my daughter's now 17-months, and Baby Tad is STILL GOING. My daughter mainly plays with Tad at nap time. My mom uses Tad as her companion to fall asleep, and I'm not sure she could take a nap at her house without him. (My mother keeps my daughter everyday.)
As for the educational value and all of that, I'm really not sure. My daughter doesn't use him for that, and there may be another toy that is cheaper that could have provided her the same companionship . . . but he has lasted through two kids already, and my mother has just now commented that he probably needs new batteries. So . . . he will last if nothing else!

Review: I bought Baby Tad for my son when he was 6 months old and he loved to listen to the songs and learn his colors. This is really a great toy for a baby and toddler because of Leap Frog's great toys with their ability to help teach. Keeping making great toys LEAP FROG.
