Summary: Still a Favorite after Two Years!

Review: I'm shocked to see so many bad reviews for this toy. My son, who's 5 and a half, has had it about two years and still loves it. It's one of his most played with toys. Maybe we have too many complicated toys at our house but I've found this is one of the least needy and most durable. There aren't too many pieces, nothing's broken, I've not changed the batteries in nearly two years (hate battery hogs) and my son rarely needs my assistance to enjoy it. What could be better? I'd highly recommend!

Review: We bought this toy for our son a couple of years ago. We still have all the parts but only because I am diligent about keeping things together. We find most of the Hot Wheels sets have too much to them, are frustrating to put together, and come apart often. I have looked high and low for good old regular tracks,corners, etc like the old sets we had as kids. My kids like to try to put sets together but you can't. The store brand tracks are cheaply made, split easily and don't last (ie.toys'r'us). Hot Wheels has gotten caught up in the hype of marketing and forgotten what it is like to make quality products that spark learning, experimenting and imagination.

Review: We got this for my almost 4 year old who is truly not overly rough on his toys. My husband put it together, and both he and my son had difficulty operating the thing (particularly the "elevator" on one side, which was VERY stiff) and the pieces easily come apart. This is very frustrating for a little kid, as well as the parent who has to constantly put it back together. Even my son said he didn't like it! (...)! Fortunately we still had the box, and I was able to return it to the store.
