Review: I bought this set for my son for his 3rd birthday. He loves it but I am disappointed. He received this yesterday and already my husband has had to glue track and the helicopter back together. My son is not overly rough with his toys either.
I think alot of the extra peices (trees and stuff) just get in the way for the little kids because they are always knocking them over while trying to push the train along. The train tracks seem to fit loosely together and be cut in different thickness creating a bumpy ride for the trains. Often leading to a disappointing derailment.
The train table was put together with minimal assistance but the little peices that go on the table (included in the 100pc set) were quite difficult to screw together. The screws were tiny and the pre-drilled holes didn't always go straight.
The drawers are big enough and open and close with ease.
I wouldn't recommend this only because of the tracks and accessories that are included are very poorly built.

Review: I am unhappy with this product. I researched and researched and finally chose this as the set for my 3-year old son. I am so disappointed that I wasted my money. My husband has glued tracks, trains and other pieces to this set. They are constantly breaking. On a more serious note: The wheels come off of the trains, they pull off easily, any kid would be tempted to put these metal pieces in their mouths!!!! Beware!

Review: I bought this for my 2 boys, ages 2 & 3. Bought it in April '05 and it's now Nov. '05 and doing well. I got this on sale at Toys R Us for $99--compare that to the ridiculously pricey Thomas and what a deal. It's held up well so far to my 2 rambunctious boys. I don't think the wooden train is stellar quality, but it's definitely worth it for the table alone. This is probably the only toy that my boys play with consistently. I would have given it 5 stars if it were compatible with Thomas playboards (it's not big enough for a thomas playboard--boo!). We buy our boys Thomas brand accessories (trains, buildings, etc.). I would really recommend this item!

Review: We bought this train table for my DS3 for his birthday. He is a major train freak and was in love with it. It comes with a 101 piece train set that is really cute. It has a lot of the accessories like little buildings, trees, people, an airplane, helicopter, etc. He played with it all weekend. It is really a sturdy table and well worth the money. I have put off buying one because of the price but DH insisted and I'm so glad he did. It is well worth the money. It did take awhile to put together but it seems very well crafted.
It is compatible with the Thomas the Train series so my son is able to use his many trains already with this new set.
It has two drawers so he can stash his extra pieces.
