Review: Statues and maquettes just stand there and (hopefully) look cool, collecting dust; right? Well, yes, usually. DC Direct enters this statue the way most should probably be designed to begin with. It rotates in a slow 360 degree motion, so the viewer can see the entire item!
What a clever idea. One that really make sense for any statue. We pay a nice price, but, only see the front side. Unless we use mirrors in a display case of some sort.
That alone is not the reason to enjoy this one. Conceedingly, this Batmobile takes some getting used to. It took me over a year to get used to it. But, now that i have, I actually like it now. DC Direct sculpted this one with the greatest of detail.
The one flaw, if you can call it a flaw is the tires are stationary. Not being a die-cast Batmobile, that may not be a valid complaint. But, with such great detail, one might have thought of allowing for rotating tires, and, possibly the canopy or doors opening.
Overall, however, this is indeed a work of art. The entire line is actually quite nice. Expensive, but, nice.
